This is a collectively sourced improvisational performance laboratory. It is a space to ask and investigate questions like:
Why do we dance?
How can we collaborate more intentionally?
What is the impact of sharing our movement with each other and the world?
How is it, to be perceived as we move?
Is performance performative?
Do I feel loved?
Do I feel alone?
We will play with and within improvisational movement scores. We will act out our cultural patterns related to performance and we will invent new patterns. We will practice group decision making, verbally, nonverbally, and much more. Join us!
What to bring: Water, comfy clothes (ideally long sleeves and long pants), kneepads, a journal (recommended), a meditation cushion and/or blanket (optional), a camera (optional).
